Failure Analysis

 

Assessing any coating failure, understanding its cause and how to remedy it can result in major cost reductions. There are many factors and coating degradation mechanisms that may cause a coating to fail.

 

MAG Consulting Inc. has the ability to investigate coating failures in order to determine the root cause. Coating failures can be avoided by (but not limited to): ensuring the product specified is suitable for the service conditions, selection of a quality contractor with a quality plan and control documentation in-place, as well as having common-sense third party inspection during surface preparation and application of the protective coating. Laboratory testing will be completed if necessary. A comprehensive report will be provided.
